Outreach at First Free

Our global and local mission teams consist of two teams of men and women, under the authority of our Elders, who are responsible for overseeing the international, national, regional and local missions of First Free.

The Global Outreach team’s main functions include:

• Supporting our full time missionaries through prayer, communications and financial support.
• Supporting our short term mission teams through prayer and financial support.
• Meeting with potential missionaries and hearing requests for short term mission teams.

The main functions of the Local Outreach Team are the same but focused on work within the United States.

Each year we send short-term teams from our church to minister in Hungary and Honduras. Each summer, we help support several student missionaries, who work in a variety of locations around the world. One or more teams are sent each year to assist with outreaches at the Two Rivers Ministries in Cairo, Illinois. We also work closely with several Christian organizations based in Springfield and surrounding communities.
